Common Condition Prescribing

Our Common Conditions Prescribing Service allows you to be assessed, diagnosed  and treated directly in the pharmacy with a prescription only medication. This HSE -supported service enables trained pharmacists to provide prescription-only medicines for a range of common conditions, without the need to visit a GP.

Previously, many of these conditions could only be managed with over-the-counter treatments, which were often limited in effectiveness. With this enhanced service, we can now offer complete care, including access to prescription treatments when appropriate. Our pharmacists, Niamh, Paul, and Maureen, have completed additional training to deliver this service safely under strict clinical protocols.

This service is designed to improve access to timely care, particularly when GP appointments are not readily available. Please note: This is a private consultation service and may incur a consultation fee, along with the cost of any prescribed medication. Patients eligible under the GMS or DPS schemes may have reimbursable medications covered accordingly.
